SMS is short messaging service and you can use it to send a short message (up to 160 characters) to any cell phone. The second top button from the right has an envelope symbol on it. It defaults to opening the email application. Instead, program it to open SMS. Then, set it so that the second time you open it, the email application opens. From the Applications screen, select Preferences. Then, under Press button, select SMS from the drop-down menu. Under the Option+ Button, select Mail. That’s it. You’re ready to SMS in a flash.
