PDA Tip

It's easy to create memos or word processing files on a PDA. Name them so you can easily find them later. For Palm PDAs, use the first line of the memo for the name. The first line is used to sort the memos alphabetically. This name will help you to index your files. I have over 900 memos in my PDA. OK, it's probably time to archive them. The amazing thing is that I can quickly locate the one I'm looking for. The key is to use the categories effectively and to name the memos consistently. Develop a consistent naming strategy and you'll be on your way. I keep it simple by entering a word, add a dash, and then entering something more descriptive. That way, like items are sorted automatically. Pocket Word on Windows Mobile PDAs allows you to create real filenames same as in Word. You should still think of ways to name files descriptively. You can also use the Find or Search function to locate files on a PDA.P>
